Summary: The curious mix of bone-deep exhaustion, relief, joy, and worry made it near impossible to get some shut-eye, no matter how strongly both his body and his mind craved it. Kirk tried again to will himself to relax, to calm down, but his whole being was still vibrating with adrenaline and energy, and the moment he tried to close his eyes, a flood of images swept over him.
