It might be one thing for your family to turn a blind eye on us living together and calling ourselves husband and wife, because what else can they do. We’re an intact family unit, and I think at this point it’s clear you’re never going to become King.” She squeezed his hand. “However, I don’t think they’ll feel the same way about an American divorcee.”

“Andrew,” she snapped. “This isn’t about our relationship, this is about the fact that your nephew seems to think that your family is going to accept a twenty-first century Wallis Simpson.”
