Title: momma miss america
Author/Team: Maria/Rainbow Fish
Fandom/Original: The Beatles
Rating: Mature
Prompt: All the Lonely People
Word Count: 3669

Summary:

Instead of going to Arizona with Mel, Linda decides to go to England to raise her baby alone. While working at a job she doesn't necessarily need (her parents are sending her a weekly allowance) at NEMS as the secretary to an erratic Brian Epstein, she meets Paul. Paul falls hard for Linda -- and the packaged deal of the baby -- and they decide to become a family.

Meanwhile, John has discovered that his aunt and uncle have lied about his mother having died in the car accident. Mimi insists that they did it for his own good -- that his relationship with Julia was abnormal -- but John disagrees. How were they meant to have a normal mother-son relationship when she was never allowed to be his mum?

Irregularities that Jim has noticed in the contract his son is meant to sign with Brian cause an encounter that ends with Brian quitting as The Beatles manager. Not that anyone notices a difference. Blamed for Brian's disappearance by the other three -- mainly John -- due to the actions of his father, Paul forces himself to get a new manager for the band. Left without many ideas, he settles on Linda's dad. At least he's a solicitor.
ConCrit: (Y/N) Yes
